On Sept.17, Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-Ill.) pledged to introduce comprehensive immigration reform legislation this year. Less than a month later he announced the bill’s principles in front of thousands who came to Washington , D.C.

The briefing is sponsored by the Reform Immigration FOR America campaign, a nationally coordinated effort that brings multiple sectors together – including Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, Latinos, African Americans, community, faith, business and labor – under one tent to promote comprehensive immigration reform.
