KAYA’s Summer Internship Program (KSIP) Leadership Training strives to connect summer interns, professional and elected officials on topic discussions, skillset trainings, and mentorship roundtables vital to the development of young Filipino American leadership through a two-day training session at OCA National Headquarters – 1322 18th Street NW.

KAYA: Filipino Americans for Progress (KAYA) administers the only summer educational and leadership development workshop series in Washington DC, focused specifically on the Filipino American community and its role in public policy and government. The Summer Internship Program (KSIP) Leadership Summit is a free event intended to supplement a Washington, DC internship experience. Through a series of informal workshop and skills building sessions, student participants work with each other, KAYA staff and policy professionals to learn the skills necessary for leadership. Sessions focus on the development of issue knowledge, career exploration, and skill building.

*** This event is open to the public but with a special focus on students and/or recent graduates. While all our speakers are Filipino American, the event is open to all. ***
