Hydra has a lifetime of achievement.

Hydra Mendoza is the current Vice President of the Board of Education.  In her first term as a school board member, Hydra has championed improving academic standards in our schools, and implemented policies that have increased parent engagement.  She has built necessary coalitions between community and education leaders to get things done for our kids.

A proven record of public service.

Hydra has a proven record in public service and KAYA recognizes her commitment to the Filipino American community. KAYA supports Hydra because she:

* Served as Mayor Gavin Newsom’s Education Advisor and Liaison to the School District to build strong partnerships between the School District and the City.

* Understands the importance of education as a former pre-school teacher, a former Executive Director of Parents for Public Schools, and an active and proud parent of two children enrolled in San Francisco Public Schools.

* And this is just to name a few. To learn more about Hydra visit http://www.hydramendoza.org.
