Foreign Language Volunteers Needed! – National Language Service Corps (NLSC)

The National Language Service Corps, welcomes individuals with expertise
in English and additional languages. We are currently seeking individuals
who speak Tagalog, Lao, Khmer, or Vietnamese.

The NLSC offers individuals with language expertise the opportunity to
help their neighbors and fellow citizens by participating in national and
state efforts, particularly in times of emergency or crisis when their

Federal Asian Pacific American Council (FAPAC) Internship


The Federal Asian Pacific American Council (FAPAC) is offering internship opportunities for Asian American college students. For the year 2010, FAPAC will award up to two (2) paid internships. Each selected interns will receive $2,000 in stipend for their service, working 20 hours a week for approximately 10 weeks (April – July). The interns will assist FAPAC executive board and committee chairs to plan, organize, and coordinate the upcoming 24th National Leadership Training Conference which will be held in National Harbor, MD on May 3-7, 2010. Selected interns will be required to work full-time at the conference on site. All travel expenses and arrangements will be made by the recipient. At the conference, the selected interns will have opportunities to network with leaders in the Federal government and Asian Pacific American organizations. Continue reading
